We proudly provide funded psychological services to current and former members of the ADF through DVA and Open Arms and emergency services (Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria, current serving Defence members, veterans and their families, either directly through their organisation or Fortem.

Many people we work with have spent years pushing through, staying strong, and putting others first. We are honoured to support you in this role by providing a space where you can focus on your own needs — safely, respectfully, and at your pace. We understand that service roles place unique and cumulative demands on individuals and families — exposure to trauma, high-stakes decision-making, moral and ethical injury, chronic hypervigilance, and the pressure to remain composed under extraordinary circumstances. Beyond the individual, we recognise the generational and relational impacts of service life: disrupted attachment, repeated separations, relocations, emotional withdrawal, and the quiet sacrifices made by partners and children who carry the weight of the role alongside their loved one. Our trauma-informed psychologists understand the organisational culture, the identity costs of service, and the moral injuries that can arise when values, duty, and human limits collide. Therapy is approached with respect, discretion, and clinical depth — supporting not only recovery from injury, but reconnection, meaning, and long-term psychological wellbeing.

If you are a current or former service member, a veteran, or a family member seeking support — or if you are a referrer looking for a trusted psychologist who understands the realities of service life — we welcome you to contact us. Reach out to discuss referrals, funding pathways, or whether Mood & Mind Psychology is the right fit. Early, informed support can make a meaningful difference — and you don’t have to navigate it alone.
