Registered Psychologist
Tina Tran
Tina is a warm, compassionate and collaborative psychologist who understands that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. She recognises that each person brings their own unique experiences, strengths, challenges, values and individual needs to therapy, and takes the time to understand these factors and tailor therapy in a way that feels meaningful and supportive for each individual.
Tina works from a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed lens. She has experience supporting young people and adults experiencing a range of emotional, psychological and life challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, OCD, emotion regulation and interpersonal challenges and neurodivergence (autism, ADHD). She also offers LGBTIQIA+ affirmative support and has experience working with gender fluidity and sexual identity-related presentations.
Her therapeutic approach is flexible, individualised and evidence-informed. She draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy, while incorporating strategies from other therapeutic approaches depending on the needs and preferences of each person. She also works collaboratively with families, schools and allied health professionals where appropriate, recognising the importance of creating consistent and supportive environments around the client.
Beyond her professional commitments, Tina finds joy and balance in hobbies such as travelling and exploring new places and nature, exploring restaurants and cafes, practising yoga and pilates and training in the gym.
